Om that note GOD DAMN this week is gonna be harsh as hell. Teaching on Wednesday and Thursday at boston College (if your a student there, see you then ) then Icon this weekend where I'll be representing the local art community LegionInk with peeps like and So if your local, make your way there this weekend or mr T will smack yo ass!!
On that note, I need Print Ideas. Three infact. So here is how it'll go, suggest a print, if you're print gets chosen, you recieve a highres copy, it's like a free commission! For free! Just for suggesting a picture!

EDIT: This is not a bitching about negetive comments journal. I'm way past being offended. This is just to let you know that after the many years of being a complete clone, I'm moving on to find myslef in the style, so it's kind of a thank you for everyone who said I was too close to mad. in the past I NEEDED to be close to mad for work, now I don't need to be anymore, and in order to both grow as an artist AND in my carreer, I need to find myslef again. So thanks for all the kind words in my defense, really, but I'm not dropping all of the influence, just bringing myself to the forfront more. I'm not Mad, I'm DFs. And hopefully that'll be enough to rock the world

As I'm sure most of you already know posted a journal about 6+ months back attacking me and about our styles looking very similiar to Joe Madureira's.  Now he had a point. a very valid one, one I've heard over and over again in my career : "you are WAY to close to Mad"
Now in me and Mike's case, (more in his though ) it helped us to great success. The reason I landed my previous gig on Dungeon Runners is because of the similiar style. I'll touch on that later again if you choose to read on
Mike, as you know, is the current penciler on the WoW comic.
Now alot of people commented on Forgies journal, defending us, and thanks guys, but he has a point I know this is a lil late, and everyones forgot already.
I'd just like to touch on that as a starting point : my influences.
Originally it was people Like Jim Lee, Silvestri, Ramos, Joe Mad, Skottie Young, Roger Cruz, Ed Mcgunness and Mignola. Hell, I have sketches that date back too 95 where I was a Jim Lee rip off. Then one thing happened to me, that happened to ALOT of artists from my generation of influence : Battle Chasers. Dear god, that blew me away, and as fast as you can say Gully, I was copying the shit out of that fucker! Hell, seeing people like McGuiness and Cruz following in his footsteps and garnering great success, I plodded onwards. Then I hit the information super highway like a flaming sack of shit, and got a whole new set of inspiration. People like to name b ut a fraction of the people that wowed me. Now thru all this I was trying to break into the industry. All of them telling me in nice ways, subtle ways, even downrite HORENDOUS ways that I should find myself in the mess of Mad that was my style.
Then 2 years ago, after 3 years of scrounging work together and BARELY making a living, I landed a gig with NC Soft on Dungeon Runners, for exactly the reason I was denied most of the work I applied for. They needed someone to maintain the look of a game who's visual style was designed by Mad himself. Thru the 2+ years working on the game, I was pushed to make my work look MORE like mad in order to mainting the look. That kind of stunted me creativly, and my work started slowing down alot, since now I was forcing my art.
After the gig, I found it hard to produce anything, since I lost myself along the way.
No a lot of different shit happened since that time, break ups, break outs, medical stuff, slowing me down more, Hell, I'm still struggling financially as is :/
But I was talking to my friends (both irl and online) people that help me up when I'm down, and struggling. Friends like and Marvel colourist and they are pushing me to greater things, and gave me the strength to find myself again.
Lets hope there's alot in my future! And I hope that this helps someone, even a lil!
Sorry for the rant, but I'm excited about the direction I'm taking, and what might lie ahead ^__^

Yeah, so I was talking to my mate Loaded on MSN the other day, and he's adement about me making a video tutorial. Now, that would be great, but who would want to see how I draw things? would anyone be ineterested? and if so, what would the tutorial be about? a pin-up? a page? lemme know.

look like I negleted this for waaaaaaaaaaaay to long mates.
Ok, first things first, thank you all for your continued support, welcome new watchers and enjoy the stay. I's wierd checking your inbox and seeing a crapload of new watchers and comments even though I've posted jack crap recently. So thank you ^__^
Ok, explination time folkies. I've been gone for a bit, for a bunch of reasons, some that I won't mention (thans for the support Frank, you know why ) and others that I will.
First to get out of the way, what I've been busy with:
for the last coupla months, I've been working for NC soft on the MMO Dungeon Runners as one of the concept artists. This has been a crazy boon for me since Mad! worked on the original concept art for the game. To see one of the monsters I designed for the game, and the process how it is done, head over here --> [link] and check it out! Due to me working on something that style wise is very Mad!, my style in itself has turned out very mad-like recently, I hope to show you guys REAL soon what I mean about that.
The other things I've been working on are Jason Bischoffs Midnight Parade, wich I hope to be premoting pretty soon and also Frank Barbarie's Experimentals, wich I hope also to premoting on here soon.

On to bigger things, and for that, we need a banner, or at least a place holder till I make something more pretty :/



OK peeps, I'm announcing this, since I am in a bit of a pinch. The Title of the project is ART.P.G. In short, you send me a pic of your World of Warcraft/City of Heroes/Guild Wars/MMO char (mostly focused on WoW though) and I do a pwetty picture of him/her/them. It's basicly you commission me to do a pic of your char from chosen MMO, I want to focus on WoW, but everything goes
Prices are as follows:
Bust shot 1 char pencils : $25
for every added char $10
1char (with or without pet) full 8x11 pencils : $75
for every added char (with or without pet) $25
1 char pin-up/cover/comic page (with BG) full 11x17 pencils : $100
for every added char $35
if you want colour, just double the overall price
