This is how I do it by DawidFrederik This is how I do it by DawidFrederik
Like I say, it's more of a HOW I DO IT than a real tutorial. I did this for and since they asked me for a more official awnser to the question "how do you go about drawing" other than "Like this"

Hope anyone can get anything out of this, was fun doing though, so I guess it wasn't a total waste ^__^
Enjoy!

Oh and if you have any questions, just ask.

Laters,

DFs.

Fun, AND insightful. Nice. Excellent style and great groundwork. It's obvious that you have proper fundamental knowledge and have utilized it to create your pieces in a unique and distinct voice that represents your style. Superb.

I have a little bit of the same question as MoonLight. Where in the world would you find a .3 pencil, and even more so, where would you find blue lead? I've looked for them *all over the place*, and I can't find them anywhere!

Wonderful steps, man. A great help.

now well that's gorgeous ^^
umm just one question - when you get from step3 to 4 - do you use a lot of rubber/eraser or do you leave the sketchie extra lines where they are and melt them into the drawing? and also... do you use a different pencil hardness for 3 and 4 - like Hb and 2H?
and finally... where do you find the 0.3 pencil?! I mean - I have a hard time finding some 0.5 2H because all that they sell is often HB :cries:
anyway, thanx a lot for the guide, it's great ^^

Sweet! As for the secret, for me I think it's in your texturing library. Things like motion dirt? Never heard of 'em before today. You go into a lot of detail whilst thumbnailing and I have to ask, how large are they usually?

HAHAHAHA! "How I Draws" XDDD It was fun to go through and actually read it and pick out all your typos Dawid X3 Like "Fleashing" LOL! Perhaps I should start using thumbnails.....I just kinda start with the head and work from there lol. Most of the time it's about close and I can manage to make it fit on the page O:

"How I Draws" was supposed to be funny, the rest, not so much XD. And the fact that you draw like you do stuns and amazes me :O

Really? I thought that's how most artists did it.....but I think I may have been mistaken. I just kinda draw, and it works out I suppose XD I've only used the thumbnails once when I was doing an art correspondence. It was kinda useful....but....*shrugs* just never used it again lol

Well, you know I want to do something together and would really like for us to do a project together. Maybe we can work on a flip book or something where you do half and I do half. I don't know but we really need to come up with something.

0.3? Dang, I didn't know they made mechanical pencils that small. I'll have to look it up...

I've also been using this approach to my drawings lately and you're right, when being very loose at the start it adds alot of life and motion to the drawing.:)
